Started out at a good pace today, and felt like I would be able to keep it up for the duration of my run. My ankle felt good as I stayed off of it for the majority of thanksgiving vacation, but almost on cue it started to hurt at the conclusion of the third mile. Great. It was as I was running downhill, and I think that hills inflame it.  I walked for a bit, and then forced myself to jog back. Called my parents and they said to stop running on it for at least a week, if not two. If it isn't better by the time I go back home for Christmas, they'll take me to a physical therapist or other doctor.

Finally back to running. It felt fine, but man, three weeks off hurts pretty bad. Finals are over and I'm back at home. Hopefully this injury is gone.

Took my 9 year old brother with me for a mile and a half, and then he wanted to go more. I let him go about 2.25 before I told him he needed to stop for his future running ability.

I went out another 2 miles or so when he went back home, and my ankle started acting up at mile 3. I really expected 3 weeks of rest to heal it, but I'll just have to keep on pushing through it. I'm going to go to the doctor for my mission physical next week, and I'll see what he has to say about it.

Took Brendan out for about 1.76 miles. Wow, he is a pretty good runner. I've heard that he is faster than the other kids he plays soccer with, but he has some serious potential in those 9 year old legs. Hopefully I can get him to run with my parents after I leave. He'll be challenging for the state championship in 8 years if I have anything to say about it. He needs running shoes too. I don't know where to get shoes in his size though.

I went a bit longer. Not much to call home about. My ankle started hurting, but I kept on going. My goal right now is to ease back into running while getting used to the cold weather (if that is possible). I don't know if I'll be running another marathon before I leave for my mission in August, so running is just going to become a hobby. I'll take it back up seriously when I get off my mission.
